Microdosing can sound new or unfamiliar, but at its heart it’s working with very small, intentional amounts of psilocybin mushrooms to support healing, creativity, & balance. This page offers a starting point.

What is a microdose?

A microdose is a sub-perceptual amount of psilocybin—low enough that you don’t “trip,” high enough to gently influence mood, focus, and presence. Most people report more ease, steadier emotions, and creative clarity.  


There isn’t one “right” amount—it depends on your body, sensitivity, and intention.

  • The typical range is about 0.05–0.30 grams of dried psilocybin mushrooms.
  • Everyone’s system is different: what feels supportive for one person might be too strong or too subtle for another.
  • This is why integration and guidance are so important—you don’t have to figure it out alone.


It is very normal for you to experience “non-linear results” — that one day may feel subtle, another more noticeable, and both are valid. 

Functional Vs. Psychedelic

Are all mushrooms psychedelic?

No! This is a common question (and totally normal to wonder).  In my 1:1 support, we often stack both — functional mushrooms to support daily vitality, and psychedelics for intentional transformation. 

Functional Mushrooms (Non-psychoactive)

  • Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, & Chaga


  • Work like daily wellness support (sleep, focus, resilience)


  • Often “stacked” with microdosing for holistic support

Psilocybin (Psychedelic)

  • Used for microdosing days

 

  • Psychoactive: can subtly shift perception & mood


  • Intentional set/setting matters

Psilocybin mushrooms are psychoactive, while functional mushrooms are non-psychoactive & act more like daily wellness support. Both play their role. One grounds us in daily wellness, the other opens doors to deeper realms of healing.  Together, they complement each other — one supports the nervous system, the other supports deeper insight and emotional healing.

What are the benefits of microdosing?

Research & personal experience point to:

  • Better mood & emotional balance
     
  • Increased focus & productivity
     
  • Reduced anxiety & depression symptoms

  •  a sense of belonging to yourself, your body, & the wider world
     

Of course, results vary—and microdosing isn’t a magic fix. It’s a tool that works best when paired with practices like journaling, meditation, and/or therapy.

Is microdosing safe?

Like any practice, microdosing is not one-size-fits-all. Your experience depends on your body, mindset, and environment — which is why moving slowly, with intention and support, makes all the difference. 


  •  Microdosing psilocybin is considered safe for most healthy adults, but it’s not for everyone.
     
  • If you’re on certain medications (especially SSRIs or blood pressure meds), it’s important to check with a professional before starting.
     
  • That’s where integration support comes in—I’m here to help you explore safely and mindfully.


My goal is to help you personalize, pace, and reflect so the practice serves your life instead of disrupting it.

Final Notes

Microdosing is not a magic pill or a quick fix. You are a participant, not a patient, in this process of healing with psychedelics. Effects are unique to each person.
